Job Description
A lovely family based in Hampstead is seeking a reliable and experienced part time housekeeper / cook / nanny to support with the care of their 6-year-old twins while helping with the general upkeep of their home. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys combining childcare with household responsibilities and can confidently manage an afternoon and evening routine. The ideal candidate will be warm, organised and proactive, with previous experience caring for school-aged children and managing housekeeping and cooking duties in a private household. They should be happy to work independently, prepare healthy meals and create a safe, positive and well-organised environment for the family. Flexibility to provide occasional weekend support is also required.
Duties
- providing attentive and nurturing care for the twins
- supporting the children’s after-school and evening routines
- collecting the children from school when required
- organising fun and age-appropriate activities
- assisting with homework, reading and school projects
- preparing healthy snacks and meals for the children and family
- planning meals and preparing ingredients
- supporting bath time and bedtime routines
- keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised
- undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- keeping the kitchen clean and tidy after meals
- organising children’s clothing, school uniforms and belongings
- running occasional household errands when required
- providing weekend support as agreed with the family
- ensuring the home remains clean, organised and running smoothly
