A lovely family based in Thurrock, Essex is looking for an experienced and reliable part time nanny to care for their 5-year-old child and provide support as they welcome a new baby in December. They are looking for someone warm, responsible and engaging who can provide attentive care and support with the children’s daily routines. The role will include school pickups and managing the children’s evening routines, so the successful candidate should be confident, organised and happy to take responsibility for the children after school. A driver is essential, and the family can provide a car if needed.
Duties
- collecting the child from school
- providing attentive and engaging care after school
- planning age-appropriate activities and outings
- preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
- supporting the children’s daily routines
- helping with homework and school-related activities
- organising play and age-appropriate activities
- managing the children’s evening routines
- preparing the children for bedtime
- keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy
- children’s laundry and ironing
- helping with day-to-day childcare tasks
- providing support to the family as they welcome their new baby
- maintaining a safe, happy and nurturing environment for the children
