A family based in South Hackney, London, are seeking a caring, reliable and experienced full time nanny / housekeeper to look after their 2-year-old child and help with the day-to-day running of their home.
This is a varied role for someone who enjoys working with toddlers and is equally happy taking responsibility for household duties.
The ideal candidate will be warm, patient and organised, with previous experience caring for young children. They should be confident managing the child’s daily routine, planning engaging activities and maintaining a clean and tidy home.
Flexibility is important, as the successful candidate must also be happy to travel with the family to Italy and provide support during their time away.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and nurturing care for the child
- managing the child’s daily routine, including meals, naps and playtime
- preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child
- organising age-appropriate educational and creative activities
- supporting the child’s language, social and physical development
- taking the child to parks, playgroups and other suitable outings
- encouraging good manners and age-appropriate independence
- keeping the child’s bedroom, toys and belongings organised
- undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning and maintaining bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and keeping surfaces clean
- managing laundry, ironing and changing bed linen
- keeping the kitchen clean and organised after meals
- ensuring the home remains tidy and well maintained
- organising children’s clothing and daily essentials
- assisting with household tasks and errands when required
- adapting to the family’s routine and needs
- travelling with the family to Italy and providing childcare and household support during the stay
