A lovely family based in Islington are seeking an experienced full time housekeeper / nanny / cook to care for their two children, aged 4 and 8 years old, while helping with the smooth running of their family home. This is a varied role suited to a warm, reliable and proactive candidate who enjoys combining childcare, housekeeping and cooking.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for children of a similar age and be confident managing school routines, after-school activities and evening routines. They should also have strong housekeeping skills and enjoy preparing fresh, home-cooked meals for the family. The successful candidate should be organised, discreet and able to work independently. Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and nurturing care for the children
- supporting the children's morning and after-school routines
- school and nursery drop-offs and collections when required
- preparing healthy breakfasts, snacks and meals
- preparing fresh home-cooked meals for the family
- planning simple menus according to the family's preferences
- assisting with homework, reading and school-related tasks
- planning fun and age-appropriate activities
- organising creative, educational and outdoor play
- taking the children to clubs, activities and appointments when required
- supporting bath time and evening routines
- keeping the children's bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised
- organising school bags, uniforms and children's belongings
- undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- wardrobe and clothing care
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- grocery shopping and managing household food supplies
- running occasional household errands
- ensuring the home remains clean, organised and running smoothly at all times
Requirements:
- Current Paediatric First Aid
- Current Enhanced DBS
- UK Work Permit
