A lovely family based in Camden are seeking an experienced full time housekeeper / cook / nanny to support their household and care for their 5½-year-old child.
This is a varied role combining childcare, housekeeping and cooking, with a particular emphasis on providing reliable support during the afternoons and evenings.
The ideal candidate will be warm, organised, proactive and confident working independently.
They should have previous experience caring for school-aged children, be confident preparing fresh family meals and have strong housekeeping skills.
The family are looking for someone who is comfortable with the later part of the day, as evening support is particularly important.
Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.
Duties
- providing attentive and nurturing care for the child
- supporting the child's daily and after-school routines
- collecting the child from school when required
- planning engaging and age-appropriate activities
- assisting with homework, reading and school-related tasks
- preparing healthy snacks and meals for the child
- preparing fresh home-cooked meals for the family
- planning simple menus according to the family's preferences
- grocery shopping and managing household food supplies
- supporting bath time and evening routines
- undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the three-bedroom home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- wardrobe and clothing care
- keeping the child's bedroom and living areas tidy and organised
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- running occasional household errands
- ensuring the home remains clean, organised and running smoothly throughout the day
