A lovely family based in Basildon are looking for a warm, caring and experienced part time nanny to look after their two children, a 3-month-old baby and a 6-year-old. This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys caring for children of different ages and can provide attentive, nurturing support while helping the family manage their daily routines.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience with babies and young children, be confident managing feeding, naps and developmental activities, and enjoy creating a safe and stimulating environment. They should also be organised, reliable and happy to support the older child’s school and after-school routines. A driver is essential for this position.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and nurturing care for both children
- managing the baby’s feeding, changing and nap routines
- preparing bottles and sterilising feeding equipment
- supporting the baby’s development through age-appropriate play and activities
- organising fun and engaging activities for the 6-year-old
- supporting the older child’s morning and after-school routines
- school drop-offs and collections when required
- preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
- taking the children to parks, classes and other activities
- keeping the children’s bedrooms, play areas and belongings tidy
- washing and organising the children’s clothes
- maintaining a safe, clean and stimulating environment
- communicating with the parents about the children’s routines and progress
