HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT
Location: Aylesbury
Start: September 2026
Full Time: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £90–£120 per day

As an HLTA, you will support teaching and learning across the school, delivering pre-planned lessons and working closely with teaching staff.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2
- Provide small group and 1:1 support
- Cover classes in the absence of teachers
- Support lesson planning and delivery
- Assist with assessment and progress tracking
- Maintain classroom structure and behaviour
The classroom environment

- Clear expectations for pupils
- Behaviour is well managed
- Learning continues smoothly
Skills and experience
- HLTA status or Level 3 equivalent
- Strong classroom experience
- Confidence leading a class
- Organisation and communication skills
What success looks like
- Lessons run effectively in teacher absence
- Pupils stay engaged
- Classroom routines remain consistent
- HLTA qualification or strong TA experience required
