We’re looking for a mid to senior level Commercial Analyst to join our central analytics team and support high-impact decision-making across the business. From improving product performance and customer experience to optimising monetisation and operational efficiency, you’ll play a key role in uncovering opportunities and guiding strategic initiatives with data. Through rigorous analysis, experimentation, and performance measurement, you’ll have a considerable impact on the present and future of Gumtree ensuring our monetisation levers deliver both commercial value and a great user experience. Location: London Waterloo, hybrid working applies with circa 3 days in the office.
About the role:
Reporting to the Head of BI, you’ll join our B2C team and play a key role in delivering commercial data analysis and insight to drive decision making. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to identify opportunities, test hypotheses, and scale what works. Some of the key work streams will include pricing and payment flow optimisation through analytical deep-dives, A/B tests, and commercial insight. You’ll design and evaluate experiments across listing fees, premium features, shipping fees, and protection charges. You’ll also build models and dashboards to support dynamic pricing, revenue forecasting, and feature performance tracking, as well as enable teams across Gumtree to self-serve insights. Furthermore, you’ll also contribute to platform readiness by covering key engineering analytics tasks, such as CLV modelling or channel attribution.

- Technical skills in SQL and strong command of analytical tools (e.g. Excel, Looker, or similar). We work on Google Tech stack.
- Experience designing and interpreting A/B tests and applying insights to business decisions.
- Ability to work with incomplete data, build hypotheses, and drive actionable recommendations.
- Strong communicator with the ability to turn complex data into clear, business-relevant stories.
- Bonus: experience with DBT, data modelling, or payment/feature pricing systems
