Overview

As a rapidly growing pharmacy we are now hiring for Dispensary Assistants and Pharmacy Dispensers to join our team. There are a total of 2 positions open. Applications close December 2025. Start date is ASAP.

Job Description

Are you passionate about healthcare and people\’s well-being? Do you want to be part of a team dedicated to providing an efficient and reliable pharmacy service to our patients? If so, we invite you to join our team at County Pharmacy Bodmin (CPB)!

  • You will be working alongside the pharmacist and the rest of the team to ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy on a day to day basis.
  • You will be preparing and dispensing medications in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines.
  • You will be assisting with the management of pharmacy stock and inventory.
  • You will be addressing queries and communicating with patients, customers and others over the phone.

Job Details

Number of Positions: 2
Total Hours: Up to 18 hours (each vacancy)
Schedule: Negotiable. 4‑6 hour shifts over 3‑4 days between Monday‑Friday.
Example of shifts:
Mon 12:30am – 5:00pm
Tues 12:30am – 5:00pm
Wed 12:30am – 5:00pm
Thur 12:30am – 5:00pm
(A total of 18 hours weekly)
Probation: 6 months
Pay and Remuneration: Up to £14/hr (Depending on experience, see below)

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A clearance on the enhanced DBS check.
  • Prior experience within a healthcare role dealing with medicines e.g. carer, HCA etc… or a pharmacy/dispensary is essential.
  • A willingness to learn and a positive attitude towards work in a professional healthcare setting is essential.
  • Very good IT skills and ability to adapt and learn new software and systems.
  • You will need to have excellent communication skills and a passion for helping patients.
  • You can demonstrate a commitment to delivering a high‑quality healthcare service.
  • You will need the ability to work well in a team and adapt to fast‑paced environments (as well as show efficiency in a slow‑paced setting).
