This role will operate within two of our brands:

Gullivers Sports Travel Limited, which creates and sells tour packages to sports supporters, including event tickets, travel, and accommodation worldwide.

The Experience Golf, which is a provider of luxury golf tours and experiences across Scotland and throughout the United Kingdom.

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our team. The role will work closely with the commercial team, who build and price packages, and the operations team, who deliver them. It requires a proactive approach, with the successful candidate maintaining a clear, real-time understanding of business activity and supporting sound, sustainable financial outcomes, while safeguarding financial integrity.

YOU’LL BE DOING

• Collaborating with the commercial team to build and price travel packages.
• Working with the operations team to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting for each trip, as well as tracking of spend against budgeted costs.
• Communicating any concerns regarding the achievement of forecast profit upwards.
• Assisting the Finance Manager with the preparation of budgets and forecasts that need to be submitted regularly to Compass Group UK & Ireland.
• Coding all event purchase invoices and submit to central purchase ledger for payment.
• Monitoring the reservation system to ensure sales and costs are recorded accurately and adjust as required.
• Monthly reconciliation of the balance sheet ensuring all balances are understood, investigated and resolved if necessary.
• Monthly reconciliations of the reservation and finance system to ensure that the two systems are aligned.
• Providing financial insights and challenge the commercial and operations teams to optimise financial performance.
• Supporting the implementation of our new SAP finance system.
• Contributing to cash flow forecasting and foreign currency management.
• Ensuring adequate and appropriate financial controls, processes and procedures exist in respect of day-to-day financial functions.

ABOUT YOU

• Part Qualified Accountant (Actively Studying)
• Proven experience in a similar finance role, ideally within the travel or sports industry.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial modelling.
• Knowledge of foreign currencies and cash flow forecasting.
• Inquisitive in nature, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
