Education and Experience Requirements: Successfully completed an aviation sector apprenticeship or equivalent. Extensive combined experience in inspection, maintenance or servicing of large/mid-size aircraft (CAT 1). Other EASA Part 66 full B1, B2 or B1/2 License required. Valid Driver’s License required. Valid Passport required.

Position Purpose: Independently performs a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions on AOG aircraft on road trips and in the Product Support organisation.

Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be available on an on-call basis, with the ability to be on site or dispatched on the FAST aircraft within two hours of the initial contact from Gulfstream.
  • Acts as the single point of contact between Gulfstream and the customer to correctly relay the aircraft schedule and return to service expectations.
  • Performs required AOG maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical and avionics systems.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work independently and consistently to perform assigned maintenance and avionics.
  • Compliance with internal and EASA inspection and documentation requirements.
  • Acting as an inspector in support of a specific aircraft, line or base maintenance input in accordance with MOE Part 1.4.6, as revised.
  • Properly completes work order sign-offs, logbook entries, shift turnovers, expense reports and all other paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Certifying tasks that they have been trained on and authorised to perform.
  • Inspect and certify, at both Luton main base and other locations worldwide.
  • Carries out any other maintenance tasks requested by the Maintenance Team Leader.
  • For base maintenance, this can include Category ‘C’ Certification for those qualified in accordance with MOE Part 3.4, as revised.
  • Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with the customer and provides one-on-one direct familiarisation briefings during the road trip.
  • Promoting and ensuring that the quality of workmanship in the final product is to a standard acceptable to the EASA and the UK CAA.
  • Coordinates with Line Service and FBO operations to schedule and assist with movement of aircraft.
  • Arranges, as needed, for overhaul or repair of customer property and inspects/operates all interior installations and records discrepancies.
  • Provides regular updates on aircraft status and customer support activity to Field Service Representative and management.
  • Compliance with the company’s ‘Maintenance Organisation Expedition’, ‘Safety Management System’ requirements, including all health and safety requirements.
  • Understanding and participation in assigned personal Employee Performance Review (EPR) Goals.
  • Ensuring completion of and attendance to all mandatory/identified training courses & CBTs.

Additional Functions:

  • Ensuring all relevant corporate policies are understood and complied with.
  • Attending, when assigned, any required meetings with internal & external customers.
  • Stands in as Technician Sr as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements: Formal training in the Gulfstream product line maintenance procedures and practices preferred, including Flight Safety Maintenance initial training for specific models required. Must possess a working knowledge of the company policies and procedures, Repair Station and Quality Control Manual, pertinent process specifications, and technical reference materials. Ability to travel extensively (with short notice) both domestically and internationally.
