Service Center Planning Coordinator (FAR) in GAC Farnborough
Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:15 PM.
The Planner selected for this role will be working on large projects of researching for parts for scheduled maintenance for aircraft. The person selected for this role will have strong attention to detail, be organized, and able to work on tight deadlines.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Other Recognized Apprenticeship required.
- 2 years experience within a maintenance operation.
- Associates Degree in Aviation Science or a related aviation field preferred.
Position Purpose: Supports Service Center Operations projects by creating work packs based on Customer requirements. Works closely with Scheduling and the Business Office to support the goals and objectives of Service Center Operations and external Customers.
Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
- Opens work orders; develops work packages.
- Enters accurate cost and revenue data.
- Enters and codes customer provided discrepancy lists and project work scopes.
- Maintains proficiency with the Corridor & Salesforce quoting systems and associated reporting tools.
- Builds and runs queries and extracts data from Corridor to support other projects.
- Downloads CMP as required, and adjusts for concurrent tasks and hours needed to complete each project.
- Maintains work order log for use in the planning department to keep track of upcoming jobs and status of jobs in work in planning.
- Maintains a high level of organizational skills due to ever changing Customer schedules.
- Determines job requirements from support groups for each project (i.e. Custom Engineering, Service Engineering, Back shops, Outside vendors).
- Attend internal meetings for aircraft projects.
- Support Operations with all requirements for Project Planning.
Additional Functions
- Builds effective Corridor system models.
- Takes on additional projects for continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements
- Familiarity with aircraft terminology, components, and systems including EASA and FAA regulations.
- Strong working knowledge of Gulfstream Corridor system.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Flexible and receptive to change.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
- Ability to retain confidential information is necessary.
