About the Role

Location: GAC Farnborough

Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:15

Experience in paint spraying, preferably with aircraft components, is required. Previous aircraft industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely prepare, paint, and detail aircraft and components, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Operate tools and equipment such as sanders, lift platforms, and paint sprayers, maintaining proper care.
  • Use sealants, paint strippers, and chemicals following safety procedures.
  • Adhere to safety rules, address unsafe conditions, and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Utilize material tracking systems for parts demand, work sign-offs, and squawk tracking.
  • Coordinate with Facilities and EHS departments on hazardous waste handling.

Qualifications

  • Ability to use aircraft painting tools and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Pass Pulmonary Function Test for respirator certification.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, work in restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.
  • Proficiency in computer use.
  • Knowledge of paint processes and products such as lacquers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and acrylics.
