About the Role
Location: GAC Farnborough
Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:15
Experience in paint spraying, preferably with aircraft components, is required. Previous aircraft industry experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely prepare, paint, and detail aircraft and components, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Operate tools and equipment such as sanders, lift platforms, and paint sprayers, maintaining proper care.
- Use sealants, paint strippers, and chemicals following safety procedures.
- Adhere to safety rules, address unsafe conditions, and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Utilize material tracking systems for parts demand, work sign-offs, and squawk tracking.
- Coordinate with Facilities and EHS departments on hazardous waste handling.
Qualifications
- Ability to use aircraft painting tools and equipment.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Pass Pulmonary Function Test for respirator certification.
- Physical ability to climb ladders, work in restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.
- Proficiency in computer use.
- Knowledge of paint processes and products such as lacquers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and acrylics.
