Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical check & CVE authorisation in Electrical/Avionics Design, including EWIS.
- Familiar with UK CAA, EASA, FAA regulations and bilateral agreements.
- Industrial experience with AutoCAD, CATIA, MS Office, PLM or SmartTeam.
- Working knowledge of UK CAA certification processes (Part 21J DOA).
- Knowledge of JAR/CS 25, EU-OPS, Part-CAT, CFR Part 25, ETSO.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and communicate effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee engineering tasks related to type design changes and repairs.
- Assist with creation, amendment, and processing of engineering data and drawings for design changes/repairs.
- Technical checking and CVE authorisation of documentation packages for certification approval within the DOA.
- Support generation of certification data for EASA, FAA, and other authorities.
- Ensure compliance with Design Office Handbook (DOH) and Engineering SOPs.
- Collaborate with team to achieve department goals and improve processes.
- Stay current on regulatory requirements and guidance.
- Interact with internal departments and customers to ensure clear information flow.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities supporting DOA and CSE.
- Provide training, mentoring, and guidance for design and certification tasks.
Additional Functions
- Collaborate with Customer Support Engineering on all engineering and certification tasks.
- Use initiative to overcome technical barriers.
- Maintain high attention to detail and professional integrity.
- Maintain technical check abilities and CVE authorisation in at least one discipline.
- Self-motivate to undertake tasks assigned by HDO/Hoa/Chief Engineer.
- Support aircraft surveys when required.
- Deputize for HoA/Chief Engineer as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
