About Our Group: We are a regional service center supporting our customers on multiple lines of our Gulfstream aircraft for ongoing maintenance and support. We are a global company where our R&D through delivery to customers is done in the United States, but we provide continued customer support around the globe.

Shift: 1900-700 4x4 Shift.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Other UK CAA Aircraft Maintenance License with relevant aircraft Type Ratings required.
  • Certification experience within a part 145 organization.

Position Purpose: The Licensed Avionics B2 Inspector is responsible for ensuring compliance with maintenance, inspection and legislative standards as specified by UKCAA and the Quality and Airworthiness Manager.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acting as an inspector in support of a specific aircraft, line or base maintenance input in accordance with MOE Part 145, as revised.
  • Perform the day to day duties and responsibilities of a Maintenance Team Leader, when requested by a Service Team Manager.
  • Daily management of the manpower resources, consisting of licensed mechanical and avionics inspectors and fitters, as assigned to a specific aircraft line or base maintenance input.
  • Certifying those tasks that they have been trained on and authorised to perform.
  • Inspect and certify, at both Luton main base and other locations worldwide.
  • Carrying out any other maintenance tasks, requested by the Maintenance Team Leader.
  • Promoting and ensuring that aircraft line or base maintenance commitments that they are assigned to are fulfilled within the assigned time scale.
  • Informing the Maintenance Team Leader and Service Team Manager of any delays as soon as possible.
  • Ensuring that all aircraft maintenance documentation relevant to the work performed or supervised is completed fully.

Additional Functions:

  • Understanding and sharing the strategic position of the department in relation to Product Support.
  • Advising the STM of any difficulties or shortcomings experienced through performing departmental duties.
  • Awareness and understanding of departmental measures in place for monitoring department goals, product delivery and quality.
  • Maintaining personal & departmental husbandry to ensure continued department success.
  • Ensuring handovers are carried out as required to ensure workflow.
  • Attending Stand-up Board meetings as required to roll out performance communications and discussions.
  • Promoting and ensuring that the quality of workmanship in the final product is to a standard acceptable to the UKCAA.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

  • Extensive combination of line & base maintenance experience.
  • Evidence of aircraft inspection and certification experience gained during extensive line and base aircraft work experience.
  • Experience within the corporate industry is an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of Aviation Legislation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good practical computer user skills.
  • Flexible approach to working patterns.
  • Able to demonstrate a well-organized approach to daily job tasks.
