GAC UK is looking for candidates for the role of Accounts Assistant to be based in Grangemouth. Could it be you?
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the department mailbox and responding to queries from internal and external queries
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial statements
- Posting journals and supporting ledger reviews
- Calculating and posting monthly accruals and prepayments
- Preparing balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Supporting the UK statutory reporting process
- Analysing and posting credit card and cash expenses
- Setting up bank payments for authorisation
- Contributing to ad hoc project work and continuous improvement initiatives
Business Analysis
- Providing analytical insights to support business decision-making and identify areas for improvement
- Producing and presenting regular management information reports
- Supporting budget tracking and performance analysis
Job Requirements
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines with strong time management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong competency in Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge and experience of journal posting (including debits and credits)
- Confidence communicating with non-finance colleagues across the business
