What you’ll be doing:
- Act as the primary on-site representative for the client, ensuring contractor compliance with project specifications and expectations.
- Monitor and record daily site operations, including construction, installation, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with UK health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor contractor performance, addressing any issues or delays.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, external agencies, project managers and other third parties to ensure the smooth running of the project.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to record and monitor progress and quality of work.
- Identify and resolve technical or operational issues in advance to prevent occurrences.
- Prepare weekly progress reports to the Head of Delivery.
What experience you’ll bring:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Supervisor in solar farm construction, renewable energy, or related fields.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a client-side supervisory role.
- Knowledge of solar PV system installation and maintenance.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with UK health and safety regulations, including CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Valid UK driving licence and ability to travel to different sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in solar energy or project management.
- Experience with SCADA monitoring systems.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role on the client side.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) certification.
