Gülermak Renewables is expanding its energy portfolio in the UK and across Europe, and we’re looking for a part-time Accountant to join us at an exciting stage of growth. This role is ideal for someone seeking flexible working arrangements, with the opportunity to move into a full-time position after 6 months, depending on business needs and mutual interest. We’re ideally looking for 3 days per week, but we’re equally open to 2 days if that better suits your circumstances. The role is hybrid, with one day per week in the office (Tuesday or Thursday), and the remainder worked remotely.
You’ll report to a manager based in Poland and collaborate with colleagues across multiple countries. You’ll also be supported by an experienced Accountant to ensure a smooth, well-structured onboarding, so you feel confident and supported from day one. If you enjoy working independently, value flexibility, and are excited by the idea of helping build something new in a growing business, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Preparing bookkeeping for quarterly reporting in IFS
- Preparing financial statements and tax returns (VAT, Corporation Tax, etc.)
- Ensuring compliance with UK accounting and tax regulations
- Supporting Group reporting requirements
- Preparing bank transfers
What experience you’ll bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in accounting
- Strong knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations
- Experience with accounting ERP systems (knowledge of IFS is an advantage, but not essential)
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- A responsible and reliable approach to meeting deadlines
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
