With a strong track record in engineering and infrastructure, we are expanding our renewable energy portfolio in UK and EU markets. Leveraging the group’s extensive infrastructure and financial structuring expertise, we are aggressively developing a footprint in solar, wind, and energy storage projects. Our offices are located in London, Warsaw and opening a new office in Romania soon. We’ve already acquired three solar projects in Poland (~60MW) and in UK (~42MW). It’s a great time to join us as an Investment Associate and be part of a growing organisation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support investment process with financial modeling and valuation skills
- Work on initial in-house financial models to select or screen out investment opportunities with target Equity IRR, ADSCR and Debt-Equity ratios
- Coordinate external financial advisors, financial modeling companies for bankable financial models, check validity of the models and recommend improvements
- Manage bank relationships for the whole financing cycle from RFP to providing information, discussing model and loan agreement topics
- Work with various advisors, legal, technical, financial and tax among others to facilitate financing
- Coordinate audit of financial models with external model auditors
- Manage annual update of the financial models based on the actual macro data
- Contributing to the whole investment and financing efforts with ideas and daily support
What experience you’ll need:
- 5+ years of experience in financial modeling and valuation, preferably within infrastructure or project finance
- Solid understanding of key financial metrics: Equity IRR, ADSCR, Debt-to-Equity ratios
- Experience managing external financial advisors and reviewing complex financial models
- Proven ability to lead financing processes and negotiate with banks and lenders
- Skilled in working with cross-functional advisory teams (legal, technical, tax, financial)
- Familiarity with model audit processes and annual financial updates based on real-world data
- Prior experience in renewable sectors is highly valued
- BA or MS Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Engineering; CFA, ACCA, or MBA
