Part Time - Community Meals Driver 13.5 hours per week β Permanent Position. As part of the Community Services team, this post will support the Community Meals services to vulnerable residents of Guildford.
Working to a schedule, you will be responsible for heating and delivering hot lunchtime meals via our hot box model. You will conduct wellbeing checks for each customer you deliver to, and promptly escalate any welfare concerns. This service assists customers to remain independent in their homes for longer, enhance their quality of life, and promote health and wellbeing.
You will be required to work 13.5 hours over 3 days per week 9.30am - 2:00pm. These are fixed working days of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
A full, valid UK driving licence and a good level of personal fitness are required as this is a physical role. Candidates should display good communication skills, a flexible style of working, good driving skills and an awareness of the physical problems and other difficulties that our service users may have. Experience or knowledge of working with vulnerable people would be beneficial in this role.
You will be expected to comply with company policies including those related to customer privacy, health and safety, and food hygiene. Staff are encouraged to contribute to the continuous improvement of Community Services and ensure that each delivery meets our high standards.
