We are looking for an experienced Security Supervisor to provide high level support. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Supervisor will perform their duties as per the Assignment Instructions.
- The Supervisor shall be properly dressed in a clean, tidy and pressed uniform with clean black polished leather shoes, boots or issued protective boots, dark socks (black or navy blue). As a Professional Corporate Security Supervisor your appearance is expected to be impeccable.
- Every operative must display a valid SIA Licence. The Supervisor will be responsible for checking every Officer on their shift is carrying/displaying a valid SIA licence.
- To be First Aid and Fire Marshall qualified within 12 weeks of becoming a Supervisor.
- The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that staffing levels are met (and not exceeded) according to the contract requirements. They are to regularly check Timegate to a month ahead and report any gaps or concerns to the Security Manager.
- The Supervisor is to supervise the reception and the team, ensuring they carry out their duties according to the assignment and post instructions.
- The Supervisor will conduct a briefing to all officers at the beginning of each shift ensuring that all daily activities and duties are communicated; he/she will update the team on any changes or messages according to the site requirements.
- To control and allocate duties in accordance with the assignment instructions, in an appropriate and effective manner.
- To check all site checks weekly and send all fault reports to Client and line manager.
- The Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring any accidents on site are reported, documented accordingly & save any relevant CCTV footage of the accident. He/she will be responsible for investigating any of the security’s member of staff involved. The Supervisor is to inform the client of any accidents as soon as possible.
- The Supervisor is to ensure that all staff act according to the laid down health and safety requirements, including the use of PPE and following the control measures within the risk assessments. He/she must act accordingly should any staff breach the rules and must escalate any areas of concern or near misses experienced.
- To contribute through adherence to procedures and assignment instructions to the general safety, security and upkeep of the environment together with loss prevention by accident, theft, waste or neglect, as applicable to persons and property.
- Investigate all first stage Fire Alarms without putting yourself or others at risk.
- Investigate all Theft Reports.
- Ensure all contractors who come to site have completed all necessary paperwork which has been approved by the client.
- To be thoroughly familiar with the geography of the designated area/building including physical layout, worker occupation, key personnel, building routines and all security related systems/equipment within the limitations imposed.
- To be thoroughly familiar with, and to implement the emergency procedures for the designated area/building.
- To be thoroughly familiar with, and comply with, the Client's Health & Safety policy and to immediately report any hazards or infringements in compliance with laid down instructions.
- To carry out all duties in a courteous and diplomatic manner, rendering all possible assistance conducive with good security. Remaining alert, polite and tactful under all circumstances.
- To identify and take immediate remedial action in the event of a public safety hazard.
- Act as the ICO in the event of an emergency.
- Adhere to all reasonable instructions by the Line Manager.
- To carry out other reasonable duties as requested by the Client's Facility Management or designate representative.
- The immediate reporting of grievances and other serious concerns to the Line Manager.
- To have knowledge of or previously used TIMGATE software system.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Applicants must be honest, free of criminal convictions and able to portray a professional image.
- Individuals must demonstrate the ability to work in a disciplined environment and act independently, work constructively with their colleagues and external partners whatever their background and to develop and deliver an effective service.
- Individuals must demonstrate the ability to communicate – both written and verbal. Individuals must possess sound interpersonal skills, display self-discipline and sound judgement.
- Have the necessary skills/experience to manage the day to day running of a team.
- To be I.T literate.
- Must display confidence and decisiveness.
- Individuals must demonstrate knowledge of the security industry and corporate responsibilities.
- You must be able to commence your shift at 06:45hrs to take full handover from the night shift.
- To have knowledge of or previously used TIMGATE software system.
