About the Role:
Gresham St Paul’s is seeking a polished, customer-focused Front of House Security & Concierge Officer to provide a professional and reassuring presence for occupiers, visitors and building teams. Based at the main reception and working closely with the Guest Experience Manager, you will combine excellent customer service with strong security awareness and access control. From 4pm - 6pm, you will take responsibility for the reception operation while continuing to maintain security oversight of the building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional, visible and approachable security presence at the main reception.
- Monitor building access, reception entrances, access-control systems and landlord front-of-house areas to prevent unauthorised entry.
- Ensure contractors and deliveries follow the correct access and site procedures.
- Challenge unauthorised access or inappropriate behaviour calmly and professionally.
- Take responsibility for the main reception from 4pm–6pm, managing visitor arrivals, occupier enquiries and general Front of House requirements while maintaining security oversight.
- Identify and escalate suspicious activity, unattended items, unusual behaviour or security concerns.
- Respond to security incidents, alarms, emergencies, fire evacuations.
- Liaise with the Security Manager, Building Management, Guest Experience Manager and wider site teams.
- Maintain accurate incident records, reports, lost-property logs and other security-related information.
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of the building, its occupiers, access arrangements and relevant site procedures.
- Provide additional security support during events, VIP visits or periods of increased activity.
- Maintain appropriate coverage of the Front of House security post and ensure appropriate cover is arranged before leaving reception.

- Confident working independently during periods when they are the sole Front of House presence between 4pm-6pm.
- Able to balance excellent customer service with effective security awareness.
- Able to work effectively as part of a wider building team.
Essential:
- Current valid SIA licence.
- Previous security experience in a corporate or commercial property environment, or in a high-quality Front of House or customer-facing setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear and accurate incident reports.
- Good IT skills and confidence using access-control, visitor-management and other site systems.
