Location: SW Herts & NW London – Students’ homes or your own professional studio (with parking available). Music Tutors Needed. Instruments: Guitar, Piano, Violin, Drums, Voice & more. Pay: £30–£50/hr (Self-employed).
About Us
Guitar Teacher Bushey isn’t just another agency — we’re a community of 20+ tutors and nearly 200 students across SW Hertfordshire and NW London. We’re musician/tutor-run, so we understand the realities of teaching. Our goal is to help you and your students love being part of our school, and to build long-term partnerships with tutors who want to grow their teaching careers. Our director, Peter, and the team provide ongoing support, advice, shared resources, and end-of-term socials to keep our community connected.

Tutor Levels
🎓 Student Tutor – Age 18–25, competent players (Grade 8+), developing teaching skills. Ideal for uni music students. Includes free mentoring.
🎸 Pro Tutor – Where most tutors start. Recent music graduates or experienced tutors/musicians without a degree.
⭐ Trusted Tutor – Strong teaching & performance background, min. 12 months with us, excellent feedback, team-minded and organised. Exceptional candidates may start here.
🏆 Super Tutor – 10+ years of experience with an exceptional background in teaching or performing. Eligible after 18 months as a Trusted Tutor.
What We’re Looking For
🎼 Confident instrumental skills & passion for teaching – required
👦 Experience teaching students aged 6+ (and adults) – required for Pro Tutor+
🎓 Degree in music – desired (required to start as Trusted Tutor+)
🛡️ Enhanced DBS & safeguarding training (or willingness to get them) – required
📅 Minimum two days/week availability (weekdays 4–8pm or weekends) – required
📍 Within 30 mins of Stanmore (HA7) – required
🚗 Car useful for home visits, or a professional home studio – desired
