We are looking for an Assistant General Manager to play a key role in the launch and ongoing delivery of a high-energy, guest-focused attraction, ensuring exceptional standards and a seamless experience across all areas. Working closely with the General Manager, you will lead teams, drive performance and oversee the day-to-day operation, maintaining a strong presence on the floor and ensuring the experience consistently reflects the Guinness World Records brand. You will support recruitment and training, maintain strong compliance and operational standards, and ensure plans are delivered effectively across the operation.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Supporting the General Manager in the launch opening and day-to-day running of the attraction, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Acting as a senior duty manager, leading the venue during live trading and making key operational decisions.
- Line managing Heads of Departments (F&B, Operations and Experience), ensuring consistency and high standards across all areas of the operation.
- Leading supervisors and frontline teams to deliver a high standard of service and guest experience.
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training to build a confident, engaged and high-performing team.
- Driving compliance across health and safety, audits and operational processes.
- Ensuring Standard Operating Procedures are embedded, followed and continuously improved.
- Monitoring guest flow, staffing levels and operational readiness.
- Supporting customer complaints and guest recovery, maintaining a strong guest-first culture.
- Supporting commercial performance through effective staffing, retail awareness and operational efficiency.
About You
You are an experienced operator who thrives in high-volume, guest-focused environments and is confident leading across multiple departments. You will bring:
- Experience in a senior operational role within attractions, hospitality, live events or immersive environments.
- Proven ability to lead and develop department heads and management teams, creating alignment and accountability across the operation.
- Strong operational leadership with the ability to balance time on the floor with oversight of performance and delivery.
- A solid understanding of health and safety, compliance and operational standards.
- Experience in duty management, making decisions in a live operational setting.
- The ability to organise, prioritise and remain calm under pressure.
- A collaborative approach, with strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
