Guinness World Records are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Tester to join our agile development team to enhance and test their internal bespoke platforms and 3rd party platform integrations. This role is ideal for someone passionate about software testing and ensuring high-quality digital products. You will work closely with our analysts, developers and other GWR stakeholders to identify and report software defects, verify functionality, and contribute to the overall improvement of our IT solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results.
- Manage IT support tickets by recreating issues, asking the relevant questions and troubleshooting if the errors need to be escalated for a technical, user permissions or configuration change.
- Must develop a basic understanding of the underlying technology, architecture and platforms of the products you are testing.
- Document and track defects using issue tracking tools, keeping users up to date and making sure prioritised issues are on the sprint lists.
- Collaborate with developers to make sure fixes and new code is properly implemented.
- Assist in creating and maintaining test plans, test scripts, and test cases.
- Conduct regression, functional, and usability testing as well as health checks after all code releases.
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Provide feedback on software usability and overall user experience.
- Assist in preparing test reports and documentation for stakeholders.
