About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Internal Auditor to join the Guinness Partnership Team. This is a permanent, full-time vacancy based in our Oldham, Bower House office. We are currently working to a hybrid working style.
The overall purpose of the role is to provide a lead role in assessing and enhancing Guinnesss internal control environment through delivery of a programme of internal control and compliance reviews. You\’ll also help to deliver a responsive service to senior management into irregularities or suspicions of fraud.

Youll be able to demonstrate
Essential:
- Comprehensive experience of leading and delivering assurance activities including those of a complex nature using defined internal audit methodologies including risk-based auditing.
- Experience of managing multiple work assignments concurrently within an agreed plan and deliver to specified deadlines.
- Proven experience of operating objectively, independently and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with the IIA Standards and Code of Ethics.
- Excellent oral and written communications.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
Desirable:
- Lead audit experience within the public sector and knowledge of public sector risk management and governance practices.
- Understanding of housing sector and regulatory environment including care and support.
- Experience of designing and undertaking data led audit approaches.
- Previous experience of using data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
- Previous experience of using an IT based Audit Management System.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (CMIIA).
Desirable:
- Advanced Diploma and/or qualified CCAB.
