JOB DESCRIPTION

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Payments Manager to join the Guinness Team. This is a full time, 35 hours per week 15-month fixed term maternity cover vacancy based in our Oldham, Bower House office. We are currently working to a hybrid working style.

The overall purpose of the role is to manage an effective and efficient payables function ensuring services are delivered to a high standard with strong processes and controls in place. Deliver accurate, high quality and regulatory compliant accounts payable reconciliations and reporting across Guinness.

Youll be able to demonstrate

Essential:

  • Experience and strong knowledge of accounts payable.
  • Experience of managing a transactional finance team in a complex organisation.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Good attention to detail with ability to work under pressure, prioritising and managing a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.
  • The ability to understand business operations and identify key risks and implement robust controls to mitigate these risks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications and the ability to present effectively to varying levels in an organisation.
  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.

Desirable:

  • Experience of using Oracle Cloud.
  • Experience of month end processes and financial reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of income and expenditure accounts and balance sheet (as appropriate).

Qualifications

Essential:

  • AAT Qualified or Foundation level CIMA / CCAB Qualification.
