About the role
We are looking for a Skilled Labourer to join our Empty Homes team covering Oldham, Rochdale, Blackburn and Lancaster to support with emptying, cleaning, painting, damp and mould work and general multi-skilled work. This is a permanent role, working 40 hours per week covering the hours between 8 am - 7 pm Monday - Friday plus Saturday morning. The later shift and Saturday morning working is delivered on a rota basis. To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate must live within the Oldham area. A full UK driving licence is essential. A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by The Guinness Partnership.
You will be able to demonstrate these essential skills:
You must be able to demonstrate competence within various multi-skills and experience in inner and outer property clearance, basic ground maintenance and mould washes/treatment and flooring coverings.
Experience of working in a customer-focused environment and ideally within the social housing sector, where you have delivered a great service.
Proven ability to work methodically, achieve targets, follow agreed procedures and accurately record information.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organisational and time management skills.
Ability to carry out physical tasks and apply products that remove and treat damp and mould, in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
Ability to operate safely, considering any environmental circumstances and possible risks.
