JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently recruiting for an Independent Living Advisor to join our team on a part time basis, working at Moyne Court in Woking. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting older people to maintain their independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.
You will be working
25 hours
per week, over 5 days, Monday - Friday.
Reporting to the Independent Living Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality housing management services across our sheltered schemes. You will build strong relationships with residents, support prospective tenants through viewings and the moving-in process, and ensure residents fully understand their tenancy agreements, including their rights and responsibilities.
You will also provide advice and guidance on accessing financial support, including housing-related benefits, and signpost or refer residents to appropriate services such as assistive technology, property adaptations, or additional support where needed. As part of your day-to-day responsibilities, you will carry out scheme inspections, ensure health and safety standards are met, and monitor contractor performance to maintain high service delivery standards.
What we are looking for: Experience of supporting older people and promoting independent living A strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly Good administrative and numeracy skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
