The Role:
To join the expanding private client department as a solicitor fee earner, the successful candidate will be handling bespoke complex and high value estate administration, will drafting and lasting powers of attorney preparation. There are also opportunities of progression within the firm.
Candidates are expected to be able to:
- Probate:
- Deal with new enquiries
- Take instructions
- Establishing assets and liabilities of the estate
- Prepare inheritance tax forms and applications for Grants of Representation
- Undertake work covering the administration of assets including properties
- Advise on and undertake work in connection with any ancillary trust arrangements
- Preparing administration accounts
- Calculation of tax liabilities during the administration
- Deal with new enquiries
- Take Instructions
- Preparing and drafting, including the use of trust arrangements where required
- Execution
- Deal with new enquiries
- Take instructions
- Preparing and drafting and submitting for registration.
The successful candidate will be at least 1-2 years PQE in private client work with a proven track record of billing consistently, will be committed and with an ambition to progress to potential partnership level opportunities.
Salary is payable at market rate dependent on experience, with bonus available for achieving over target billing.
