Guildmore Groundworks are currently recruiting an experienced Site Setting Out Engineer for our project in Brentwood, Essex.
Description: Experienced and motivated Setting out Engineer required for setting Roads, Swales, Drainage and all associated works.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for all aspects of setting out and levels.
- Setting out and producing of as-built surveys and QA for our scope of works.
- Checking and setting out detailed works as per the contract drawings, carry out regular checks throughout the process.
- Review and check information, drawings and quantities for accuracy to ensure smooth running of projects.
- Ensuring that quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with Client specification and requirements.
- Provide engineering support to address and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Carry out pre-start site surveys.
- Ensure timely handover of completed work and quality records, free from defects, collaborating closely with the Construction and Project Managers teams.
- Operating and promoting a high standard of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
- Assist in resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Preferably degree qualified with a Construction related degree.
- 5 years minimum experience within a similar Groundworks and Highways works role.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Must be proficient with CAD, CAD 3D and producing drawings.
- Must be proficient in setting out with GPS and 3D models.
- Must be able to transfer 3D models to Excavators and plant for earthworks.
- Topo Surveys and Cut/Fill quants.
- Be able to demonstrate having previously worked in Groundworks and Highways.
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, Health & Safety and legal regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with site-based team and Clients.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proven troubleshooting skills.
