The predicted salary is between 19.8 - 24.2 £ per hour.

Guildhall Young Artists Taunton is one of Somerset’s most exciting Saturday performing arts centres offering a range of classes and performance opportunities for 5 to 18-year-olds in music and drama. Based at Wellington School in Wellington, Somerset, young people develop their creativity and access high quality training across a variety of styles and genres.

We seek to appoint an energetic and highly skilled brass & jazz teacher, who is a top practitioner and industry professional, to teach our U18 students, and to ensure that Guildhall Young Artists provides an excellent creative education. Experience in coaching rock/pop bands would be an advantage. The successful candidate will be committed to developing young students, from a variety of backgrounds, to reach their full potential.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Monday 28 September 2026. Please note that we are unable to accept late applications. Interviews will take place by arrangement between 29–30 September 2026. If successful at interview, candidates will be invited to attend GYA Taunton on 3 or 10 October 2026 to deliver a 30-minute individual brass lesson which will be observed.
