We are seeking a Music Therapist that will work as part of a Music Education programme for young people providing group music therapy and some individual therapy sessions as part of a three-month pilot programme for young people aged 5-15 years. A key feature of this role is providing skilled, sensitive, and responsive improvisatory work in groups for young people some of whom may have special educational needs and disabilities, including facilitating group improvisation to support therapeutic aims. The group will aim to give opportunities to connect and collaborate through music for young people as an alternative to a classical orchestra. The sessions will be delivered as part of an evening musical provision.

The postholder will contribute to the assessment of the pilot’s impact through data collection and collaborative evaluation.

Enhanced DBS checks will be required.
