Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for teaching Stage and Scenic Construction, involving set building working with a range of materials and processes, the design and construction of scenic items, the use of specialist equipment and technology, and workshop management.
- You will supervise students undertaking production and project work and oversee safe working practices.
- You will also contribute to wider teaching, tutoring and assessment activities in the department, manage teaching in your area of specialism, meet deadlines, manage your own workload and demonstrate up‑to‑date knowledge of Health & Safety and a commitment to promoting safe working and inclusive practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- You have experience of working in higher education settings; a good understanding of the needs of students in a complex learning environment; and the ability to represent your discipline in the public domain through professional/industry sector engagement, consultancy and/or research (which could include R&D in new processes and equipment).
- You have extensive industry experience that demonstrates continued high standing in the profession.
