An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Sports Department for a University of Surrey sport & exercise student to gain valuable experience in a top-ranking school for female sport. We are looking for a motivated undergraduate for a Professional Training Year (PTY) placement, to assist the Strength & Conditioning coaches and PE staff in the delivery of both on-field and gym-based training sessions for our student athletes across various sports and age groups.
Placement Details
- Duration: September 2026 – July 2027, term time only.
- Full‐time voluntary role with a £5,000 stipend towards travel and living costs.
- Commitment to professional development and quality of life support.
Responsibilities
- Assist Strength & Conditioning coaches and PE staff in planning and delivering on‐field and gym‐based training sessions.
- Support student athletes across multiple sports and age groups.
- Assist with session preparation, equipment set‐up, and performance monitoring.
- Contribute to the development of training programs under supervision.
