We’re looking for a creative and detail-focused Website Content Editor to join our Communications and Digital Services team. As our Website Content Editor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our online presence is clear, accessible, and engaging for our residents, businesses, and visitors. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in how we communicate with our customers, improving user experience and promoting our services.
What you’ll do:
- Create, edit, and publish digital content for the Council’s website and intranet.
- Work with service teams to translate complex information into Plain English.
- Ensure all digital content meets accessibility and usability standards (WCAG 2.2).
- Support the development of content strategy and best practice across all digital channels.
- Use analytics tools to monitor performance and continuously improve digital engagement.
About you:
You’ll be an experienced communicator with a passion for clear, user-focused digital content. You understand what makes web content effective, from accessibility and SEO to tone of voice and design. You'll have a strong grasp of user journeys and UX principles, ensuring content is structured and presented in a way that supports intuitive navigation and a seamless online experience.
