A passion for delivering excellent customer service, who has a 'can do' attitude and is a good team player. You will need to be an excellent problem solver, whilst offering a balance between enforcement and support in all areas of Income management.
The Housing Income Specialists provide a vital link to other service units enabling the Council to deliver a comprehensive housing and income service. We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team of four front line Housing Income Specialists, within the Neighbourhood Housing, Income Collection Team.
Acting as the first point of customer contact, the role of Housing Income Specialist is to be responsible for rent income collection and associated charges in a defined geographical area within the borough of Guildford. The role involves dealing with sensitive issues, often within a pressurised environment where strong negotiation skills and assertiveness in difficult situations are essential. Previous experience of working in Housing and/or giving debt advice and/or welfare benefit advice would be desirable.
