Role Purpose
The post holder will provide administrative support to the Council Tax, Benefits and Business Rates case team, using strong organisational skills to maintain high attention to detail and confidentiality, to ensure the smooth running of the service. The post holder will need to have a flexible approach to work as aside from core daily tasks, additional tasks may be required. Applicants will need the ability to manage their own workload and use their own initiative. The post holder will be required to undertake some training and support as identified. In return, we offer an annual leave entitlement of 22 days, access to our flexible working scheme, pension scheme and pleasant working environment near to the town centre. This role attracts a salary between £23,695 – £26,633. Offers are usually made at the lower end of the salary band allowing for progression. This salary excludes the 2025/26 pay award which is to be confirmed. This role is classed as Agile. Office working will be needed full time during the training period but once training has progressed effectively, the successful applicant will be able to work from home part of the working week on a rota basis with colleagues. Our usual office/home working split is 50/50. The role does not provide parking.

Desirable
- Knowledge of Civica would be an advantage
- 6 months experience of working in an administrative based role
- Previous experience of working for a local authority
- NVQ level 2 in Customer Service or equivalent qualification, or experience in an appropriate area
