To support the Learning & Development Team in delivering high-quality training and development activities across Guild Care.
We support older people, people living with dementia, and children and adults with learning disabilities to live well and enjoy life. For over 90 years our charity has provided trusted care and support to people in Worthing and our wider community. Every year we support over 3,000 local people through our diverse range of community support and care services.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to start a career in Learning & Development. The apprentice will provide administrative support to the Learning & Development Team and play a key role in supporting learning and development activities across Guild Care. Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating training courses, workshops and induction programmes.
- Booking colleagues onto learning events and maintaining accurate attendance records.
- Preparing training materials and supporting the set-up of training rooms.
- Managing the Learning & Development inbox and responding to general enquiries.
- Supporting the administration of apprenticeships and learning programmes.
- Assisting with the management of our e-learning platform, including:
- Adding new starters.
- Processing employee changes.
- Removing leavers.
- Supporting colleagues with access and login issues.
- Producing reports and maintaining accurate training records.
- Supporting compliance monitoring and mandatory training administration.
- Maintaining stationery supplies, ensuring cupboards and storage areas are kept organised, neat, and tidy.
- Monitoring stock levels, identifying when supplies are running low, and placing stationery orders as required.
This role offers excellent exposure to Learning & Development, administration and people processes within a busy charity environment. Please note due to the nature of this role, you will be subject to a DBS check.

Alongside this, you will also be working towards gaining your Business Administration L3 qualification, over the duration of around 15 months, which will include:
- Complete all apprenticeship learning activities and assignments within agreed timescales.
- Attend apprenticeship reviews and development sessions.
- Maintain evidence required for the apprenticeship portfolio.
- Demonstrate continuous learning and professional development.
- Develop effective administrative, communication and organisational skills.
- Apply learning from the apprenticeship programme within the workplace.
