We are seeking a new Chair to provide leadership and direction to our Board of Trustees, working in partnership with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to reduce social isolation in the Worthing area.
As a Chair with vision and drive, you can help ensure our board can oversee our ongoing and upcoming developments with greater clarity and confidence. Your advocacy as a spokesperson for Guild Care will continue to establish the charity's place in reducing social isolation in Worthing and beyond. You will have the opportunity to attend other committees and working groups within Guild Care to ensure we are working to optimal efficiency and compliance, while maintaining the original caregiving spirit of our founders.

What will you be doing?
As Chair, you will enable the board to fulfil their responsibilities to the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity. You will ensure that Guild Care complies with its governing documents, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations and to make sure Guild Care pursues its objectives as defined by our Memorandum and Articles.
This year will see ambitious growth with the development of our new Community Hub which will support current and new services for residents in Worthing and the surrounding area. It will also include expansion of our thriving retail shops in the town centre and into East Sussex. The board will play a vital role in keeping Guild Care on track towards success as we evolve through fundraising, service development and new builds.
You will work closely with our Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team to optimise the relationship between the Board of Trustees, staff, our service users and their families.
