Job Description – Supply Chain & Planning Engineer
Guild Bespoke Metalworks , a leader in bespoke metalwork solutions, is seeking a Supply Chain & Planning Engineer to join our team. We specialise in delivering high-quality, custom metal products across industries, providing precision-engineered solutions.
In this role, you will manage confirmed orders by reviewing manufacturing plans, ensuring procurement, production capacity, and lead times are met. You will negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best commercial terms and release orders for production once elements are finalised. Collaboration with Design and Production teams is essential, especially when technical support is required. A deep understanding of production capabilities and industry trends is key, as the role contributes to discussions with the Operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review manufacturing plans with the Technical Estimator and Design Engineer
• Activate procurement and outsourcing processes
• Work with the Production Manager to establish realistic timelines
• Communicate technical aspects clearly with the Production team
• Assist with logistics and non-production tasks
Requirements:
• Experience in engineering manufacturing
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills
• Confident communication with subcontractors and customers
• Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning system
Working Hours: 39 hours per week (Mon-Thurs: 8am-5pm, Fri: 8am-1pm)
