We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our development team. This is a broad and rewarding role that combines hands‑on application development with responsibility for the quality and testing pipelines of our software suite. You will also play an active part in the operational readiness of our IoT hardware environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack applications using Python, C#, Java, HTML, and CSS
- Collaborate with the Software Lead and engineering team throughout the full development lifecycle
- Participate in technical discussions and sprint planning
- Work with SQL databases, reporting, and application functionality
- Build, configure, and maintain IoT devices, ensuring reliable integration with the wider software suite
- Oversee preparation and deployment readiness of equipment, maintaining accurate inventory and asset records
Quality Assurance & CI/CD
- Work with the team to continuously improve CI/CD pipelines to support consistent, reliable deployments
- Design and maintain manual and automated test cases to ensure the suite meets requirements and is bug free
- Monitor service uptime, conduct structured root cause analysis following incidents, and implement lasting fixes
- Collaborate with the Software Lead on triage and escalation of live issues
Essential Experience / Technical Skill Requirements
- Languages: Proficiency in Python, C#, and/or Java
- CI/CD: Practical CI/CD pipeline experience
- Databases: Working knowledge of SQL for querying and basic schema management
- OS: Comfortable working across Windows and Linux environments
- Monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus)
