Job Title: Quality Engineer – Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering\\nLocation: Croydon, South London\\nSalary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum (DOE)\\nJob Type: Permanent | Full-Time | On-site\\n\\nOpportunity to Join a Leading Manufacturing Business in Croydon\\n\\nOur client, a well-established and growing UK manufacturing company, is looking to hire a Quality Engineer to join their team at their site in Croydon. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with a background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or similar, who is interested in quality assurance and continuous improvement.\\n\\nThe company operates a variety of manufacturing processes on-site, providing broad exposure to different technologies and production methods.\\n\\nRole Overview:\\n\\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and improving the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), driving root cause analysis, and working cross-functionally to ensure product and process quality standards are consistently met.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Support the maintenance and development of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Lead and assist with root cause analysis to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)\\n\\n * \\n\\n Conduct and support internal audits and contribute to audit readiness\\n\\n * \\n\\n Monitor and improve production and inspection processes to ensure product quality\\n\\n * \\n\\n Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams on quality and process improvement initiatives\\n\\n * \\n\\n Assist with quality documentation including FMEA, control plans, and inspection reports\\n\\n * \\n\\n Track, manage, and close out non-conformance reports (NCRs)\\n\\nCandidate Profile:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience in a manufacturing or production environment\\n\\n * \\n\\n Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills\\n\\n * \\n\\n Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment\\n\\nDesirable Experience (Nice to Have):\\n\\n * \\n\\n Familiarity with root cause analysis tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, or Fishbone diagrams\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience with quality systems or continuous improvement initiatives\\n\\n * \\n\\n Exposure to lean manufacturing principles\\n\\n * \\n\\n Previous roles such as Quality Technician, Process Engineer, or Quality Inspector\\n\\nWhat’s on Offer:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Competitive salary of £30,000 – £40,000, depending on experience\\n\\n * \\n\\n Exposure to a wide range of in-house manufacturing processes\\n\\n * \\n\\n Career development opportunities within a supportive and forward-thinking company\\n\\n * \\n\\n Convenient Croydon location with excellent transport links
