A growing manufacturer based in Newbury is looking to appoint an experienced and people-focused HR Manager to support the day-to-day running of the business and help drive a positive workplace culture. This is a hands-on HR role where you will take ownership of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and the wider people function across the business. The successful candidate will be confident dealing with conflict management, supporting managers, and ensuring employees have a positive experience throughout their journey with the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the full recruitment process from advert writing through to onboarding
  • Supporting hiring managers with interviews and recruitment strategy
  • Delivering effective onboarding and induction programmes for new starters
  • Handling employee relations matters including conflict resolution and disciplinary processes
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact for managers and employees
  • Supporting employee engagement and workplace culture initiatives
  • Maintaining HR records and ensuring compliance with employment legislation
  • Assisting with performance management and staff development
  • Supporting the wider people operations side of the business

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a HR Manager, HR Advisor or People Manager role
  • Strong recruitment and onboarding experience
  • Confident managing employee relations and conflict management cases
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to build relationships across all levels of the business
  • Organised, proactive and people-focused approach
  • Manufacturing or industrial sector experience would be advantageous
