Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience or knowledge in AutoCAD and an interest in estimating mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the preparation of accurate cost estimates for a range of M&E projects, helping to ensure competitive and commercially sound tenders. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing cost estimates and tender submissions for M&E projects
  • Review technical drawings, specifications and project documents
  • Use AutoCAD knowledge to interpret and understand design layouts
  • Measure quantities and help compile pricing information
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
  • Support the senior estimating team with bid preparation and cost analysis
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, quotations and project documentation
  • Help identify potential cost-saving opportunities and commercial risks

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an estimating role, or a strong interest in developing within estimating
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and the ability to read technical drawings
  • Understanding of M&E projects or the building services sector
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
