The role combines strategic leadership, product launch execution, key stakeholder engagement and team development to deliver sustainable growth and improved patient outcomes across EMEA.

Shape the Future of Orthopaedic Innovation. What if your next role gave you the opportunity to shape the growth of a global orthopaedic business, influence the direction of its portfolio and help bring technologies that improve patient outcomes to markets across EMEA?

Our client is an established medical technology company with a strong track record in orthopaedics and a genuine commitment to improving patient care. We’re looking for an ambitious, commercially minded EMEA Marketing Director to turn global strategy into regional growth, accelerate adoption of a differentiated product portfolio and build a high-performing marketing organisation.

Reporting into senior global marketing leadership, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how the Orthopaedic portfolio reaches customers, competes in the market and delivers value. You’ll combine strategic leadership with hands-on commercial execution, working closely with regional leaders, sales teams, surgeons and cross-functional partners to make a measurable impact across the region.

As a senior member of the EMEA leadership group, you’ll have the scope to influence regional strategy, lead major product launches and drive commercial performance across diverse EMEA markets.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive regional growth: Translate global strategy into actionable EMEA marketing plans that deliver revenue growth, market share gains, procedure growth and improved portfolio performance.
  • Lead product launches: Own launch readiness and execution, equipping country teams with compelling value propositions, sales tools and customer adoption strategies.
  • Accelerate market development: Identify growth opportunities, overcome barriers to adoption and lead initiatives that drive surgeon conversion, competitive displacement and increased utilisation.
  • Build customer and KOL relationships: Partner with leading surgeons, professional societies and hospital stakeholders to strengthen engagement, support education and elevate market position.
  • Shape portfolio strategy: Lead marketing execution across the core joint replacement portfolio, while supporting growth in adjacent and emerging areas.
  • Turn insight into action: Use customer feedback, market intelligence and competitive analysis to refine positioning, identify unmet needs and influence future portfolio priorities.
  • Measure commercial impact: Establish clear KPIs, monitor launch and campaign performance, and ensure marketing investment translates into tangible business results.
  • Lead and develop talent: Build a collaborative, accountable EMEA marketing team, strengthening capabilities in commercialisation, customer insights, digital marketing and sales enablement.
  • Influence across the business: Work in close partnership with Sales, Product Management, Medical Education, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, Finance and Operations to deliver aligned regional execution.

We’re looking for a strategic thinker who combines strong marketing leadership with commercial instinct, customer insight and a passion for delivering results.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree, with an MBA or advanced business qualification advantageous.
  • 10–15+ years’ experience in medical device or healthcare marketing, including at least five years in orthopaedics.
  • A proven track record of leading regional marketing, product launches, downstream commercialisation and market development across EMEA.
  • Experience driving customer adoption, portfolio growth and measurable commercial outcomes.
  • A background in leading geographically dispersed teams within complex, international matrix organisations.
  • Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking and the ability to translate insight into action.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • The leadership presence to inspire teams, align senior stakeholders and drive change across multiple markets.

What Success Looks Like

You’ll establish a clear regional growth strategy, strengthen product launch excellence and accelerate adoption across priority markets. Through strong country partnerships, customer engagement and data-driven decision-making, you’ll build a marketing organisation that is commercially focused and consistently effective across the region. Just as importantly, you’ll develop a talented team and create the foundations for sustainable growth across EMEA.

Why our client? This is an opportunity to take on a highly influential leadership position within an innovation-led medical technology business. You’ll have the autonomy to shape strategy, the platform to influence commercial priorities and the opportunity to work alongside talented international teams advancing orthopaedic care.

Ready to make your mark on the future of orthopaedics? Join our client and help turn bold ideas into meaningful commercial and patient impact.
