Our client is recruiting a Clinical Specialist to become the in-theatre product expert for innovative orthopaedic implant technology. This is a partnership focused role offering structured development, strong progression, and the opportunity to broaden your impact across multiple hospital sites.
The role
You will work directly with surgeons, theatre teams, and clinical stakeholders, providing expert support before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure safe and effective use of orthopaedic implants.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on, in-theatre clinical support during surgical procedures to ensure correct and optimal use of products
- Act as the clinical expert for assigned surgical product lines
- Support implementation of best practice and standardised clinical pathways
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with surgeons, nurses, and key hospital stakeholders
- Gather clinical feedback and insights to support continuous product improvement
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and training teams (without direct sales targets, unless specified)
- Maintain accurate documentation related to clinical support, training, and evaluations
Experience
- Worked as a clinical scrub nurse / ODP / Clinical Support in surgical orthopaedic theatres (ideally trauma)
- Strong understanding of surgical workflows
- Confident communicator with the ability to educate and influence clinical stakeholders
- Calm, adaptable, and effective in high-pressure environments
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Willingness to travel regularly to hospital sites
- Full valid driving licence
- Eligibility documentation to work in the UK
