We're looking for a dedicated Control Room Operator to join our team at our remote monitoring centre in Blackburn. This is a permanent position offering a structured 4 on / 4 off shift pattern covering both day and night shifts. You'll become a key player in a professional team delivering 24/7 nationwide security services for a wide range of clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment and has proven experience in CCTV monitoring and control room operations. What You Will Be Doing

  • Managing controlled access to client sites using advanced Video Management Systems
  • Monitoring and responding to electronic alarm signals promptly and professionally
  • Delivering excellent customer care through clear and courteous telephone communication
  • Liaising with emergency services when required, following strict operational protocols
  • Producing clear, accurate, and timely written reports
  • Working within a disciplined team environment with a focus on security and service excellence

Who We Are Looking For

We're seeking motivated, reliable professionals with a keen eye for detail and a calm, decisive approach under pressure. You'll need:

  • A valid SIA CCTV License (Level 2 in CCTV Operations) - Essential
  • Must be 18 years or older - Essential
  • Prior experience in CCTV monitoring and a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills written and verbal
  • The ability to stay composed in high-pressure situations
  • A self-starting attitude and the ability to work independently
  • A flexible approach to shifts (including nights and weekends)
  • Professionalism, accuracy in reporting, and a commitment to customer service excellence.
