We\’re currently seeking experienced and ambitious Commercial Practitioner/Commercial Officer professionals to work with our client in a secure environment, supporting challenging and rewarding projects.

This is a contract role requiring security clearance prior to assignment, with opportunities available in Milton Keynes.

The role involves working across internal projects and teams, developing relationships, managing workflows, and creating commercial solutions. You will ensure the optimisation of commercial activities through policy creation, audits, and data analysis to support decision-making. You will have the opportunity to showcase your skills on unique projects.

You should demonstrate responsiveness, efficiency, and professionalism, supporting team members at all levels and working closely with customers to facilitate the fulfilment of goods and services. Your responsibilities include overseeing contract delivery, monitoring KPIs, and driving cost reductions. You will manage the entire contract lifecycle, employing high standards of commercial practice, with strong influencing, negotiation, and operational management skills.

People skills are essential, as you will mentor others, share knowledge, and foster capability. An enthusiastic approach to problem-solving and opportunity identification is also required.

Your qualifications, experience, skills, and behaviours include:

  • Experience in procurement, supplier management, contract management, sourcing, commercial operations, supply chain, and invoicing.
  • Strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of category management for cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Ability to prioritize amidst complex activities.

Ideally, you will also have experience in purchasing, bill management, and contract creation & management, especially in technology or digital sectors.

You should:

  • Hold or be willing to attain a professional commercial qualification such as CIPS Level 5 or equivalent.
