We are working with Airbus to recruit an experienced Building & Construction Project Leader to support a growing portfolio of capital investment (CAPEX) projects at their Broughton site. In this role, you'll take ownership of projects from initial feasibility through design, delivery, and final handover, leading multi-functional teams and ensuring all work is delivered safely, compliantly, and to a high technical standard. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with strong client-side construction and project management experience within complex operational environments.
- Setting up and leading CAPEX building and construction projects from inception to completion
- Managing multi-functional project teams, including internal stakeholders and external professional services
- Leading the detailed design of building services, including major plant replacement and refurbishment works
- Developing and managing project delivery plans, risks, and opportunities
- Preparing and managing CAPEX business cases, from approval through to project close
- Overseeing professional service work packages and monitoring on-site installation works
- Producing and presenting project documentation, reports, specifications, and cost information
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, architects, designers, and contractors
Proven experience delivering capital investment construction projects, ideally in a senior project management role. Strong background in building and construction, with experience on the client side. Demonstrable experience taking projects from feasibility through design, site delivery, and handover. Practical understanding of mechanical and electrical building services, including operation and maintenance. Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, including external consultants and contractors. Ability to translate client briefs into clear construction scopes and design requirements. ONC / HNC (or equivalent) in a building engineering services or design-related discipline (experience is prioritised over qualifications). Competent using IT tools to produce reports, technical analysis, and project documentation (SharePoint / MS Project / G-Suite experience preferred).
